Italian Stone Pine questions

Does anyone have experience working with Italian Stone Pines? I picked one up the other day to play around with but can find very little info online about them. I guess there is a good article in Bonsai Today # 59 by Ernie Kuo about them but I've never read it and doubt I can get my hands on that issue. Mainly wondering since they are a tropical and they are growing year round if that changes how you work on them compared to other pines. Can you repot them anytime, when to prune them, etc. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Jason
