Tracking Software

Postby rnoble » Dec 28, 2012 5:57 pm

Is anyone aware of a Windows application that can be used to inventory, store photos and keep repotting, pruning logs and the like? I use one on my iPad called Bonsai Album, but would like to have it on my laptop.

I have been looking for such a program for quite some time. I recently found one that has a lot of the features I have been looking for - or at least I think it does. I really haven't had the time to thoroughly look at the program but it looks like it has most of the features. You can find the program at: http://otetsudaiqt.sourceforge.net/ The program is freeware, and may be what you are looking for.
Good luck.

Thanks George. I found that one and had one heckuva time getting it download ... but, finally did. I explored it for a while and it "appears" to be something that will work. I'm the director of an arboretum and botanical garden and we have about 150 plants to care for. I was hoping for something like Bonsai Album that I use for my collection at home. However, Bonsai Album is only available for iPhone/iPad.

I'll keep looking and post back here if I find anything else or have more feedback on ot2.

Thanks!

I use OT2 for record keeping of major pruning, treatments, etc and OneNote for keeping notes, reminders, etc. OT2 will store photos. OneNote has a great iPad app, and the data can be stored on the cloud so it is available anwhere.
