Early sping in Western Kentucky

Ahhhhhhhhh, Early spring has finally arrived in Western Kentucky. I always know that warmer weather is just around the corner when this Acer palmatum "Akaji nashiki" leafs out.

That's a great looking tree. Yes, when the buds are swelling, the trees give us a bit of joy. I like it when the bald cypress are flushing out with their Spring growth.

In your photo, the new leaves get lost in the color of your background, but I can just make it out.

Thanks Bill! I always get excited when the buds begin to swell and get that green color. My bald cypress in the greenhouse are just beginning to show bud color as the harbingers of the repotting season. Finally I can get out my easy chair, shake off that old man winter and begin another season of play'n with plants! I'm sure your a few weeks ahead of us and having a great time.

ta ta for now!
