Anyone tried eco earth in their soil mixtures?

For those of you who still like to put a little bit of organics in your soil mixtures has anyone tried eco earth which is a coconut fiber substrate you buy at pet stores for reptiles, etc? Just wondering if anyone has tried it and what they thought of it. Thanks!

I've tried a lot of things for organics, but I'm not sure that I've tried that. If you get some, it'd be great to hear your experiences with it. Coconut fibers sound like it be a good way to add some organics, without it being fine & stifling. I'd bet it would be good for tropicals.

Thanks,

I have some for our pet hermit crabs. It's more course than peat. I thought maybe it would work, I'll have to give it a try sometime if no one on here has had any experience with it.
