Tiny trees

Just to get things started in this, my favorite, category:

An azalea 'Christmas Cheer.' It has tiny red flowers.

Another -- larger -- 'Christmas Cheer.' This one has been potted up almost 15 years now. It's already showing a bit of fall color.

A Satsuki. Flowers are MUCH too large for this tree. I usually allow only 1.

Trident maple. Needs repotting. Roots have shifted it in the pot.

A privet (Ligustrum chinensis), top still under development. And, a juniper -- probably J. procumbens.

Very nice grouping of little guys Jim!!!!! I suspect the Juniper is J. procumbens "nana" and would be a good one to use to evaluate your other tree that you posted about. I just love that Cotoneaster!!!!!! I'll bet it's just lovely when it's covered in either flowers or berries.

I've decided that this is to be the year of the mini-bonsai for me. In addition to the pots these trees have been in, I have a lot of tiny pots just waiting to be filled and Nature, I'm told, abhors a vacuum.

I have material waiting for about 1/3 of these. Dunno where the rest will come from -- yet. Lots of small wild Chinese privet, pyracantha and red cedar on the place.

(That's a one-foot - 30 cm - ruler in front, for scale.)
