Let's see who all likes Tropicals

Trees from the tropics which do not tolerate frost, ficus, schefflera, acacia, buttonwood...

Let's see who all likes Tropicals

If you have any Tropicals or Semi-Tropicals that you would like to post, let's see them. Apparently not to many people have talked much about the tropicals. I am down near Houston, Tx and Tropicals do better here then many other trees. Here is one of my favorites. The picture is not the best. The background blurs the lines of the tree, but it is a Buttonwood.

Tropical trees are my love, and last week when the snow was on the ground (all 18 inches of it) I could go into my "tree house" and play with my Trees. Most of my Bougainvilleas were in bloom. A Nice contrast of pinks against the snow!

Here are a few of my trees:

*Raises hand as a tropical lover* I have over 50 tropical trees in various stages of development, my first love in bonsai and still a primary interest.

I like tropicals/subtropicals. I really like Serissa (I have 4 currently and a bunch of cuttings that will give me more to work with in the future;-) and I also have 2 Ficus, a Jade, a Schefflera, and a Japanese Evergreen Holly. There are a few other species I'm hoping to pick up when I go to Nature's Way in October. I keep them all outside during the warmer months but bring them in over the winter. I've attached a pic of one of my Serissa (trained for about 1 year and about 10 inches tall including the pot). Image It's just a little guy but it should get nicer as it gets older.
