That is an excellent article. Reiner's is good, too. I took a workshop under Marty S on these at Bill V's last September session.
If it survives down here, I'll probably have the southernmost living Thuja occidentalis. It gets pretty hot here, though. I have its pot wrapped in foil to reflect as much heat as possible, and so far it is sprouting some nice new growth. I've pinched it back, and it has shown lots of new growth. (Bringing it inside to be photographed, I see that it has LOTS of new growth. As a result, the photos are a bit messy looking. I don't think I'll pinch much again until just before fall, though because of summer heat stress.
